Every person you meet in life can make you better. Whether that person is a friend, relative, classmate, coworker, professor, or stranger; every person has an opportunity to impact the life of someone else. We can all learn from our connections in one way or another, and I am grateful to be learning from the man standing next to me in this photo. His name is Bosco Cole.
Bosco and I first met in 2008 at my step-father’s funeral. I didn’t know it at the time, but Bosco and I would meet again, 8 years later. Through motivating conversations, advice-giving phone calls, and a recent visit to the Magic City; Bosco has become a great impact and mentor in my life. He is a friend who encourages and listens to the struggles and accomplishments of a 26 year old with crazy dreams and aspirations. He never cuts down my hopes, yet is honest and genuine in his guidance. I say all of this not just to thank him, but to help all of you realize that you too could make an big impact in someone elses life. Thank you to you, Bosco, and thank you to everyone else who has also been there for me, even when I didn’t know I needed a heping hand.
May you never stop chasing your goals, reaching stepping stones, and lifting up others on your journey to achieving your dreams. Accomplish your aspirations, but don’t forget to help lift up those who are trying to accomplish their own.
